The Olympus BF‑P200 bronchoscope is a flexible video bronchoscopic instrument designed for airway inspection and bronchoscopic interventions. Its 120° field of view allows a broad visual cone, helping clinicians to observe and navigate bronchial structures without constantly repositioning the scope. The forward-viewing direction (0°) focuses the visual axis straight ahead, which is intuitive for many bronchoscopic tasks.

Mechanically, the BF‑P200 features a distal tip that can articulate 180° upward and 130° downward, giving it the flexibility to access and inspect challenging airway branches. The insertion tube’s 5.2 mm distal outer diameter, paired with a 2.0 mm instrument/biopsy channel, allows the passage of diagnostic and therapeutic tools (e.g. forceps, brushes) while maintaining a manageable profile. The working length of 55 cm provides a balance between reach and control, especially in adult bronchial anatomy.

In use, this bronchoscope supports both diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary procedures—such as airway inspection, sampling (biopsy, brush), bronchoalveolar lavage, and minor interventions.
